Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain the quotation and bid register using ERP System, ensure information is accurate
- Ensure bid dates are known and adhered to
- Support the development of accurate cost estimates of both labour and materials from concept drawings and sketches, task descriptions and proposal documents
- Upload bids to client portals where applicable
- Working with supply chain to develop estimates and / or drawing on historical cost records and modifying as necessary
- Submitting official quotations to clients
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business.
- Sustain a safe and clean working environment.
- Comply with all company procedures and policies.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous estimating experience required
- Experience of working in the Engineering Services industry preferred
- Proven ability of liaising with customers
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment against customer driven deadlines
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- Proven ability to pay close attention to detail
- Basic fabrication / weld overlay knowledge preferred
- First rate communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
- Proactive, flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude’
- Strong team player
- IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint programs.
