We specialise in buttering hubs ends and pup pieces generally used on subsea Production Systems. Buttering is when a carbon manganese / Inconel filler is deposited on one or both end of a component thus eliminating the requirement for a PWHT when the closure joint is performed.
Standard automatic hot wire tig equipment is used to apply the filler material then the deposited weld metal is volumetrically tested using the PAUT process.
